Start in Garfield and head east toward the nearest major arterial that connects you to the freeway system (follow local signs for I-80 / I-215 / Salt Lake City).
Get on I-80 East (or UT-201 East if that’s the quicker connector from your exact location) and follow signs toward Salt Lake City/downtown. This takes you across the Salt Lake Valley toward the I-215 / I-15 corridors.
From I-80, follow signs to I-215 South (if you used I-80) to loop around downtown; then merge onto I-15 South toward Provo / Orem. (If you took UT-201 East, you’ll also connect to I-15 South via I-215 or local connectors.)
